How It Begins

You are Jacques, a cat who is also a detective in the San Francisco Bay Area. Your partner is Ralph, a ferret. You are wearing a trenchcoat and fedora, and carrying an empty gun. Your somewhat grubby Sunnydale office not only has a desk and a rotary phone, but also a hydraulic ram pump, a tire-balancing machine, and a platypus cleaner. (There was also a TV, but Ralph just threw it out the window.)

It's not immediately obvious what to do first, but some exploring will reveal that you're not going to get very far until you replace a missing tire on your Oldsmobile Delta 88, which is parked outside the office.

Notable Features

  • Largely inspired by LucasArts' Sam & Max Hit The Road and the "Sam & Max" comics.
  • There is a WINNING command which the player can use to make sure the game is still winnable.
