Interactive Fiction Technology Foundation

The Interactive Fiction Technology Foundation (IFTF) is a nonprofit whose mission is, according to the initial press release , "to ensure the ongoing maintenance, improvement, preservation, and development of tools and services necessary to the creation and distribution of interactive fiction." IFTF was announced on June 30, 2016. It was co-founded by Chris Klimas, Flourish Klink, Jason McIntosh, Andrew Plotkin, and Carolyn VanEseltine. IFTF's first president was Jason McIntosh.

IFTF supports and oversees various programs in the interactive fiction community, such as IFComp and the IF Archive. IFTF also hosts NarraScope, a games conference. In 2022, IFTF adopted IFWiki.
