How It Begins
You might be anyone, carrying nothing. Last night, your friend Kitty implored you to come and housesit her strange house, a clock tower, out on the edge of town for a few days. You agreed, and she's gone, but she's also locked you in without the key.
You wake up in her bedroom the next morning and see she's left a note for you: help yourself to anything in the fridge, feed her aggressive cat Pompus, don't touch anything, and don't leave the tower. Hmph. You're still going to look around, of course. What harm could it do?
