How It Begins

Versions

Amstrad CPC version (original version)

  • The Gerbil Riot of '67 (Simon Avery, publisher: Wow Software; 1991?; Amstrad CPC).
    • Note: I'm not sure about the release date. Various sources, including Baf's Guide, say 1988; but Wow Software didn't exist at the time, and the MS-DOS (TADS 2) version says: "It was originally written on an Amstrad CPC 464 circa 1988 and released commercially through WoW Software". (It also says "Copyright 1991-1994", although the source code comments say "Copyright 1992-1994".) So I think that the game was created, but not released, in c. 1988, and only released in 1991 or 1992 by Wow Software; but it's also possible that it was released as freeware in c. 1988 and released commercially only later... --Eriorg 09:08, 24 July 2009 (PDT)
