The Third Great Interactive Fiction Excerpt Hunt was run by Jason Dyer. Contestants were to send in their answers by January 29, 2005.
The winners of the hunt were announced on January 30, 2005 on rec.games.int-fiction, along with the answers to the contest. The winning team was Jonathan Blask, Duncan Stevens, and Kevin Yao.
