How It Begins
Colonel Jem Bitter, a war hero with a secret past, spends a cold winter evening with his girlfriend, Sally Brunswick.
However, their date is rudely interrupted when an old enemy of Bitter's, a mad scientist named Natalia, kidnaps them both and blackmails Bitter into assassinating a rival in exchange for Sally's life.
