The Amstrad CPC was an English 8-bit microcomputer, popular in Europe in the 1980s, especially in France.
There were originally three models: the CPC 464 (released in 1984), CPC 664 and CPC 6128 (released in 1985). In 1990, Amstrad released three other models: the CPC 464+ and CPC 6128+ microcomputers and the GX4000 console, but they were unsuccessful.
Another computer, released by Amstrad but not compatible with the CPC, was the Amstrad PCW.
