:My intention for the Wikis templates was for them to only be used on category pages. Nowhere else. That isn't spelt out anywhere, though. I would prefer that other pages not use these particular templates and use the Links sections of their pages instead. However, it might be desirable to use Wikis templates on all applicable pages -- but then NOT list links to wikis in the Links section. I certainly don't want both systems used on the same page. -- [[User:Dswxyz|David Welbourn]] 10:16, 10 June 2009 (PDT)

Oh, OK. I didn't know. So I guess we should use the "Links" section (except on category pages), then.
(Ideally, we'd have a choice of other languages at the left of the screen, like on Wikipedia... But I guess it's not possible in this IFWiki?) --[[User:Eriorg|Eriorg]] 13:13, 10 June 2009 (PDT)
:IFWiki uses MediaWiki, just like Wikipedia does, so in theory, it's possible in IFWiki. But it might require educating me how to do it, asking baf to add more optional modules to IFWiki, or both. "Wikis es" template vs. link in the "Links" section

Well, I've just added this template to IFCollab, but then I noticed the same WikiCAAD link was already in the "Links" section.

What should we do in such cases? Use only the template at the top of the page, or use also the Links section? --Eriorg 08:24, 10 June 2009 (PDT)

My intention for the Wikis templates was for them to only be used on category pages. -- David Welbourn 10:16, 10 June 2009 (PDT)

IFWiki uses MediaWiki, just like Wikipedia does, so in theory, it's possible in IFWiki. But it might require educating me how to do it, asking baf to add more optional modules to IFWiki, or both.
