Steve Breslin is a major IF theorist and programmer. He has written hundreds of articles, ranging from general design issues to specific programming problems. In his theoretical writings, he has emphasized the significance of IF's presentational structure, and challenged the genre to continue to remain progressive and experimental. As a programmer, he has specialized in engine design, AI, and spatial simulation, and is a major contributor for TADS 3.
