The XComp was a minicomp run by David Cornelson in early 1999. There was only one entry, and it was declared the winner. The game was released on March 29, 1999.
Premise
(copied from a rec.arts.int-fiction post on January 26, 1999.)
Submit a small interactive fiction game, that involves the paranormal. Yes, yes, this sounds an awful lot like the X-Files, and yes that's more or less where the inspiration comes from. But don't limit yourself to the show. Use anything relating to ghosts, demons, aliens, government conspiracies, etc.
Submit your game to me by March 15th.
