Background
The InsideADRIFT Spring Competition is open for any unreleased, but complete, Adrift games. Competition entries must be in by 17 April 2005 with judging taking place in the following 2 weeks.
Prizes
3 to 6 entries 1st prize will be forty US dollars 2nd prize will be twenty five US dollars
7 entries or more 1st prize of fifty US dollars 2nd prize of thirty US dollars 3rd prize of twenty US dollars
Prizes to be paid via PaylPal or as an Amazon voucher as decided by the winner.
Rules for this competition
- Sound or graphics are allowed, provided they can be accomplished within the overall filesize limit.
- All entries must be accompanied by a walkthrough (if not the author must be prepared to supply one on request). It can be a simple transcript from the runner. This must give the text that will allow a player to complete the game, from beginning to end, following the details given.
- Filesizes are unlimited, though where a game download is over 500Kb they may be required to host it elsewhere.
- Games may be passworded, but if they are the password should be supplied to the organiser.
- Games must not contain content of an offensive adult nature.
- Naturally enough the games should be a completely original work, although parody is allowed.
- No more than two entries will be accepted from each contributor.
- Discussion of entries is allowed via chat and other direct/non permanent means. Discussion is not allowed on the forum or via permanently available web pages as it may interfere with fair judging. This does not stop you using beta testers.
- It is allowed for you to give brief details of the game on the forum, but not to discuss the actual detailed gameplay.
- Contributors may also be judges, but must not judge their own entries.
- There must be at least three entries or the competition is void.
Entry and judging
All entries should be sent to me at competition@kfadrift.org.uk by 1500 GMT Sunday 17 April 2005. The entries will be available as soon as I can get them posted here at the competition homepage. There will be online judging available with a password required. Those who already have one from previous events can use that or get a new one if needed.
Judging will be open to all subject to the competition rules. Judging to be completed by 1500 GMT Sunday 1 May 2005. Results to be posted as soon as possible after that.
