Simon Avery was a British text adventure author in the 1980s and 1990s.

He produced work for the Amstrad CPC using The Quill and ADLAN. His games were also ported to the ZX Spectrum and Commodore 64 by other authors, including Anthony Collins, Philip Reynolds and Dorothy Millard. Simon himself did some work with The Adventure Workshop porting other authors' adventures from machines like the ZX Spectrum to the Amstrad CPC.
