QBasic was a variant of the BASIC programming language, distributed by Microsoft in later versions of MS-DOS (and available in the "OLDMSDOS" folder on Windows 95 and '98 CDs). Unlike QuickBASIC, which was distributed as a commercial programming suite, QBasic did not include a compiler for creating executable (.EXE) programs.
