- Well, adding the genre templates to their respective categories means that now Category:Drama is a subcategory of itself, for example. Also, a page like IFWiki:Genre will end up in all genre categories. Third, this change won't remove the responsibility to add the genre categories manually in some cases anyway, because sometimes we need to sort games without leading "The", for example. -- David Welbourn 12:09, 7 September 2006 (EST)
- I'm aware that these categories list their titular templates among the list of games (as intended), though I don't see this as much of a problem. MediaWiki does include conditionals which may be used to exclude the categories from, say, IFWiki:Genre, and from category listings themselves, though I haven't tested these here.
