How It Begins
A small team, cramped in a tiny hab. A rookie manager. Company grumbling about labour costs. This has not been an easy sol, all things considered, but you told yourself you could get through it and come out the other side swinging. And now you have. All that remains is the last bit of tidying up, then the long tedious drive to catch up with the rest of the crew.
After a mining sol of this, being alone in the hab for once is almost comforting. Really, shutdown detail is a half-day off; nothing to complain about. You even get to sleep in, for what it's worth in these beds. But daylight will be here soon. Better to get it done and get out.
