The sixteenth IntroComp was organized by Jacqueline A. Lott. A rule change for IntroComp 2017 gave entrants the option to submit an excerpt from the beginning, middle, or end of an IF work. In previous years, only the beginning of a work could be entered.

- Intent to Enter Deadline: June 30, 2017.
- Introductions Submission Deadline: July 31, 2017.

- [Probable] Posting of Results: September 1, 2017.
