Adventure Creation Environment

The Adventure Creation Environment, a.k.a. ACE or A.C.E., is an authoring system by Andrew Clark. It is meant to combine the best of the Quill and PAW but without the memory limitations.
The ACE interpreter for Windows is WinAce.
The story file of an A.C.E. ususally ends with the .agd extension.
