Category talk:Prolific authors

Since Category:Prolific testers requires >=20 testing credits, should the limit of Category:Prolific authors increase to the same level? Prolific Author was created in 2005, while Prolific Testers in 2009. Since the early aughts, a lot more authors have reached that 10+ games, many actually getting to that 20+ milestone. -- Manonamora (talk) 00:54, 27 October 2024 (UTC)

How many of the existing authors would have to be removed on that basis? Who would be added? I have to admit I can't remember seeing these categories before. They are manually added to pages so I wonder how up to date they are. We're in the process of adding a database structure, so it would in future be possible to maintain them automatically. Also, it would be easier to see the effect of setting the threshold at different numbers. I'd vote for leaving things be, for now at least. Jonathan (talk) 07:20, 28 October 2024 (UTC)

I've just seen your edit summary about the category links not working. I've taken the liberty of adding then. You just need to add a colon before the word "Category" to show it as a link (as otherwise MediaWiki will think you're categorising the page). Jonathan (talk) 09:02, 28 October 2024 (UTC)
