Clive Gifford

Clive Gifford is a British journalist and award-winning author, specialising in non-fiction for both children and adults. His first book was published just three days after his seventeenth birthday. Since then he has written over 180 books and hundreds of articles.

He was well known in the 1980s for his computer programming books, including several on creating adventure games for popular machines at the time such as the Amstrad CPC, Dragon 32, Commodore 64 and ZX Spectrum. As with many type-in adventures, Clive's games have been unofficially ported and adapted over the years to run on a range of different microcomputers.

Clive also wrote a text adventure column, Ventures, for the Dragon's Teeth Dragon 32 fanzine.
