• Mar. 1: Intents-to-enter deadline for Spring Thing 2006 at noon EST. This is also the earliest that games may be submitted to the organizer for Spring Thing 2006.
• Mar. 12: XYZZY Awards 2005 ceremony begins in ifMUD's Massive Auditorium at 4 p.m. EST.
• Mar. 15: Entry fee deadline for Spring Thing 2006 at noon EST, if sending it electronically. If sending your fee by mail, this is the date your envelope must be postmarked by.
• Mar. 31: Submission deadline for Spring Thing 2006 at noon EST. Entry fees sent by post must also be received by this deadline.

• Apr. 23: Voting deadline for Spring Thing 2006 at 11:59 PM, EDT.

June

• Jun. 25: ORGC 2006 voting deadline at midnight Italian local time (GMT+1).
• Jun. 30: LOTECH Comp 2006 submission deadline at midnight.

July

• Jul. 1: IntroComp 2006 intent deadline, 11:59 EST.
• Jul. 16: IntroComp 2006 submission deadline, 11:59 EST.
• Jul. 23: IntroComp 2005 winners' deadline to finish their games, 11:59 EST.

September

• Sep. 1: Intent deadline for IF Comp 2006 at 11:59 p.m. EST.
• Sep. 22: Submission deadline for CreatureComp at 11:59 p.m. EST.
• Sep. 30: Submission deadline for IF Comp 2006 at 11:59 p.m. EST.

October

• Oct. 1: Expected game release date for IF Comp 2006 games; voting period begins.

November

• Nov. 15: Voting deadline for IF Comp 2006 at 11:59 p.m. EST.
