The Fortnightly Fiction Jam was a series of Interactive Fiction games jams, spurted in sprints of two weeks each months from July 2020 until February 2022. Each month, an optional theme was set for the sprint (voted by members on their Discord server) as well as an optional restrictions (often word limit). The jam was unranked and meant to foster creative writing and experimentation.
The Fortnightly Fiction Jam ended after 21 editions.
Rules
- The theme and restriction were optional.
- The jam was open to all, but focused on Interactive Fiction and storytelling. Experiments were encouraged.
- Any tool to create IF was allowed.
- Participants could submit pieces as a team.
- Entries could incorporate mature themes, as long as content warnings were included.
- Hateful entries were not allowed (and the creator would be banned from future events).
