IFWiki origins
From IFWiki
IFWiki is a wiki containing information about interactive fiction. It uses the same software as Wikipedia. It officially opened to the public on February 10th, 2005.

IFWiki.Org is born. - December 28, 2004
Added information about Speed-IF and the 1998 IF Competition. - December 29, 2004
Added Glossary TOC. Still need to move pages from old glossary. - December 30, 2004
David Welbourn has moved the Glossary from the old IF Theory Book wiki. - December 13, 2005
IFWiki database moved to wurb.com; new version of MediaWiki. License tab no longer supported; see Copyright. Some problems with images yet to be solved. - 20 Jan 2022: IFWiki has a searchable database of interpreters, authoring systems, and other software!
- 23 Jan 2022: The Interactive Fiction Technology Foundation has adopted IFWiki!
- 1 Sep 2022: IFWiki has a new Events database! Upcoming events automatically show up on IFWiki's front page. Add an event!
Quick hints on editing IFWiki
- The MediaWiki software has a separate page for discussions. If you click on the Discussion tab, this will allow you to edit the "Talk" page.
