Z-machine version 9 and 10

One of the rules implied that there exists a version 9 and 10 of Z-machine files. However, the relevant documents (for example, [1]) only show Z machine versions between 1 and 8 (Infocom used 1-6; 7 and 8 were created by Graham Nelson to allow for somewhat larger stories). If there are versions 9 or 10 of Z-machine files out there, we should document them here. Meanwhile, I have updated the document to no longer imply versions 9 or 10 of Z machines exist. Was this comp cancelled?

Was Z-Comp #1, even the Take 2, cancelled? I suppose it was, but I'm not quite sure. Anyway, I'll remove it from the Template:Comp news page. --Eriorg 21:40, 19 May 2014 (UTC)

No. It is still on. See my apartment in ifMUD for more information. Some of the rules have been updated too. Version 9 and 10 is no longer permitted, for one thing (because their status has been changed to EXPERIMENTAL).
