The third Spring Thing was organized by Greg Boettcher. Note that the 20-entry limit rule was dropped; any number of people were permitted to enter the competition.

Intents accepted between noon EDT, September 30, 2004 and noon EST, March 15, 2005.
Submissions accepted between noon EST, March 1, 2005 and noon EST, March 31, 2005.
Games were released on March 31, 2005.
Voting deadline: midnight EDT, May 1, 2005.
Results announced: May 2, 2005.
