The Spring Thing, or The Fall Fooferall for our Southern Hemisphere friends, is an annual IF competition held in April. Spring Thing differs from the annual IF Comp by promoting longer games, more "off-season" games, and excellence in games. The first Spring Thing was run by Adam Cadre in 2002, who also ran it in 2003. The comp was later revived by its current organizer, Greg Boettcher, in 2005. Spring Thing 2007 has just ended and has brought us four new games; the winner is Fate (Victor Gijsbers). Go to http://www.springthing.net/2007/ and download 'em.
