''Misc:'' So far the only thing I've published is an entry in the 2004 IntroComp: "Auden's Eden."  I do mean to finish the full version, and I'm working on an entry for the 2004 IF Comp.  I think after these I'll be ready for a largish project, and a partnership might help keep down the time it takes to complete. I'd like to split both authoring and programming. I wouldn't enjoy just being the code-monkey for somebody else's text, but I'm perfectly willing to be the prose-monkey for somebody else's idea/design. I like strong plots or interesting places and tend to shy away from puzzle-fests. My favourite games are "Galatea," "Photopia," and "Spider and Web" -- like everybody else.

IF Collaborators List

Nicholas Daley of New Zealand is the list's founder and original maintainer. The list was then taken over by Jay Goemmer for several years, and is now maintained by Mike Snyder on the IF-Wiki.

This is a list of people who are willing to work with others to create Interactive Fiction. The most recently added or updated entries are listed in order by date.

Here, you can:

  • Contact someone from the list, to collaborate on an IF project.
  • Add, update, or remove your name and info by emailing Mike Snyder.
  • Add, update, or remove your name and info by editing this page.

Note: As of 6/29/05, upon taking over as the list's maintainer, I noticed that much of the info may be out of date. I will contact everyone on the list, to request updated info (and, whether or not you still wish to collaborate). Please keep your info updated, either by editing this page, or by sending email to me so I can do it. Updated info should be moved back to the top, so that active collaborators are easier to identify. As information becomes stale, it should be moved down into the Dormant Collaborators section -- and eventually removed.

Can work on: Programming, Authoring, Betatesting

Ideas: Yes

Programming Systems Preferred: I can program in Inform. Obviously the language doesn't matter if you're the coder.

Misc: So far the only thing I've published is an entry in the 2004 IntroComp: "Auden's Eden." I do mean to finish the full version, and I'm working on an entry for the 2004 IF Comp.

Can work on: Programming, Authoring

Programming Systems Preferred: TADS

Misc: Competent TADS programmer (key word is competent, not fast). Long time writer. I have ideas for several projects, and have started work on two. But I am looking for someone who'll bring their own ideas to the table. Collaboration on all levels (i.e. programming & authoring) wanted. Willing to work on initial idea which isn't my own.

Email: gil@amazonsystems.co.uk

Can work on: Programming, Authoring

Programming Systems Preferred: I'm working on the germ of an idea to deliver Myst-like adventures over the Internet, using HTML, Javascript and Java. Or, even, Flash. Home Page URL: http://www.amazonsystems.co.uk/

Misc: I am a fan and author of text adventures from 'way back. I'm buzzing with ideas, looking to pioneer this Myst-ish "multimedia" approach, and I need to exchange help and inspiration from artists, musicians and authors with time to spare. I started the work in 2001, but it has lain fallow since from lack of someone to bounce it off, and I suspect I'd need to start again.

Email: david.cornelson@iflibrary.com

Can work on: Designing a game.

Ideas: A ton.

Programming Systems Preferred: Inform, but if you code it, I don't care.

Misc: I have one large work-in-progress and many many ideas for other games. Sadly, I have no time to write or code IF. I do however feel like I can design an excellent game with the right programmer and writer. I am now seriously open to a collaborative effort.

Misc: I'm a new-ish Inform programmer, especially interested in complex NPCs, but I don't have the skill to build them yet.
