- Not to be confused with the Frotz interpreter it is based on.
Infocom Frotz is a special-purpose, web-based build of the Frotz Z-machine interpreter, designed to reduce the barrier to playing Infocom's six multimedia games:
- Arthur: The Quest for Excalibur (play in browser)
- Journey: The Quest Begins (play in browser)
- The Lurking Horror (play in browser)
- Sherlock: The Riddle of the Crown Jewels (play in browser)
- James Clavell's Shogun (play in browser)
- Zork Zero: The Revenge of Megaboz (play in browser)
Most Z-machine interpreters in use today do not support Z6 and/or the unique graphical system used by these games, which was something of a dead end. Frotz is one of the few that does; so this project uses Emscripten to build the SDL version of Frotz into a web-playable version.
