Erins
From IFWiki
The Erins is a yearly AIF competition, very similar to the XYZZY Awards, except for Adult IF games. It is also called "The Adult Interactive Fiction Awards", or AIFAs; see also The Erins history page.

- Erin VS Erin - An alt.games.xtrek thread in 2002, begun by Wotan-Anubis, explaining that his game The Diary and its lead character, Erin, was written in response to Gamma Gals (Christopher Cole) and its Erin character. During the course of this thread, "The Erins" won the poll (held on the AIF Archives) for the name of the then new AIF awards. The runner-up name, "The Adult Interactive Fiction Awards", was also adopted at the same time.
