An Awk implementation of the Infocom Z-Machine. Supports Z1-Z3 format story files. This means that Zork 1 (including the original commercial release version extracted from the TRS-80 Model 1 boot disk), Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy, and other standard series games will be playable.
The downloadable scripts execute on original Awk, GNU gawk, and mawk. i.e. an awk interpreter is required, and a wrapper script is provided for ease of use.
Still to do:
- Game Save and restore is still to be added
- Word wrap is not implemented, so words can be split across lines
