IFWiki is an encyclopedia of interactive fiction, including IF history, theory, craft, tools, and people. IFWiki serves as both a historical record of community knowledge and a guide to resources for playing and creating interactive fiction.
News
- 27 Feb 2025: We have added a new Architecture database for storyfile formats and other specifications which can be implemented by items in the Software database. See Category:Architecture for existing pages, and use Form:Architecture to add more.
- 27 Feb 2025: We have added "Library" and "Other" to the Software database as potential software types, in addition to the existing "Authoring system", "Interpreter" and "Utility". See Category:Library and Category:Other software for existing pages, and use Form:Software to add more.
- 28 Dec 2024: IFWiki turns twenty! Twenty years ago today, on 28 Dec 2004, David Cornelson created the IFWiki:About page. See IFTF Service Birthdays for more detail.
- 9 Jun 2024: Each month we send a report about the wiki to the IFTF Board. You can help write it by going to: IFWiki reports to the IFTF Board.
- 2 Feb 2024: We added a Dark Mode toggle to the wiki. Just click on the "Dark mode" link in the Navigation menu (log in to see it).
- 2 Feb 2024: Automatic formatting of code is now possible on the wiki. Just use the
<syntaxhighlight>
tag to enclose code. See the extension's page on the MediaWiki website for full details.
