How to Play

This game was implemented with Z-Code version 6, and includes graphics. It's a bit tricky to play this game on modern systems.

To begin, you’ll need a Z-code interpreter that supports Z6 games; many Z-code interpreters don’t support that version.

To play, download the latest version from The Obsessively Complete Infocom Catalog, zork0-r393-s890714.z6. You'll then need to download its graphics files separately as ZorkZero.blb from the IF Archive.

Place both files in the same folder, and rename ZorkZero.blb to zork0-r393-s890714.blb. (The name of the blb should match the name of your z6 file.) Then, double-click the Z6 file to launch it.

Frotz/Spatterlight will look for a blb file with a matching name in the same folder, and display the game with graphics.
